As this sword has revealed some interesting things it seemed prudent for it to have it’s own page.
This great-sword was in the possession of the Horned King. It is alive and seems to be carved of still living bone. It is still composed similarly with the center red acting as blood producing marrow and the white exterior as the hardened cartilage giving it its structure. Injury to the sword heals almost immediately and it’s regenerative properties are remarkable making one wonder how it was carved in the first place.
The Dwellers come from a dangerous, jungle-like realm. The creatures known as ‘terror-beaks’ also hail from this realm as terror-beak skulls have been seen upon peering through the door into the realm. The door to the Dwellers’ realm is red fading to black (if memory serves correctly), and metal is apparently very rare in the Dwellers’ realm.
Kourath Kel and his men are our allies. He was once loyal to the Horned King and was his top shaman. Kourath Kel was exiled by the Horned King for his failure in his battle with us. Kourath Kel gathered the Dwellers who had been exiled or felt the Horned King was not deserving of his throne and came across the river to where we are. His scouts kept track of our small town and he later sought an alliance with us.
We fought against Kourath Kel’s men when we were living in our first encampment across the river.
The Horned King is a mean Dweller. He takes the likeness of a white tiger and named for the horns on his head. In the first gather in the Merchant Prince’s tent, the Horned King appeared and offered to let us live and pay tribute. The offer was one twist per head each gather and he would send a representative to collect. At the time there was a group among us that called themselves the “Horde” and their leader spoke to the Horned King and refused his offer.
The Dwellers are a race of humans who have the look of beasts. They take the resemblance of predatory animals. However, under their fur, scales, or sometimes feathers, they are still human.
Dwellers are generally very prideful and have a strong dislike for cowardice. They enjoy proving their strength in battle and they are extremely intelligent and cunning. Thankfully, a group of them are our allies.
