Empire of Perfect Unity

Laws and Crimes of the Empire

Law and Crime

The notion of any sort of criminal prosecution in the North is laughable. Justice exists only insomuch as individuals are willing to dispense some measure of justice by their own hand. More frequently, justice is carried out by mobs, vigilantes, mercenaries, or vengeance-obsessed swordsmen. Some find this freedom from needless litigation as a blessing, especially if one’s chosen profession is criminal in nature. In the Empire, though, crime is not tolerated in any fashion.

Doctrine of Unity

In the effort for better cultural understanding, I have decided to apply here the Doctrine of Unity for those not of the Empire to read over and understand where many of the Empire come from culturally.

The Doctrine of Unity is the philosophy upon which the Empire of Perfect unity was founded over ten-thousand years ago. It was first espoused by Wong Fei, the Philosopher of All Ages, in the closing days of the Unwise Age. It provided an ideal around which the First Emperor could conquer the world, establish his dynasty, and produce a lasting civilization.

Dragon Scholar

I, Dragon Scholar (Written as Long Ru in Imperial), seek to place information regarding myself in this library for those who are curious as I have been informed that I often do not meet the expectations of those from other worlds for what an Imperial Scholar should be like.

I (Dragon Scholar) came to the Forest as the clerk and record keeper of the Tiger Company under the leadership of Honorable Ghost Tiger. In the Empire I was trained in the basics of all weapons although I choose to only use my thrown Kunai Knives.

Rites and Honors Due in Quietus

This is a brief synopsis of the original text. It should be noted that a Justicar is normally required for all these services. The lone possible exception of course is a funeral pyre (for obvious reasons). I write this not because I have made a study of the dead, but because I have had extensive experience in fighting them.

Useful Imperial Referance Books

In an effort to continue sharing the thoughts, ideas, and aspects of our respective worlds, I (Ghost Tiger) offer here a brief abstract of several very common and extremely useful books found in the Empire. These books are here in the Library and if anyone is interested I (Ghost Tiger) can translate more of them or translate more of a particular book (please send request by post).

Quantifying and Qualifying General Skills

Greetings. This work is intended to give the laymen or those not familiar with the Empire a general overview of the rankings of various skills and how one may test to measure said worth.

The Thirteen Harmonious Changes

Greetings to you who seek enlightenment. The path of which is both long and very rewarding. This brief synopsis is intended as the barest of introductions which should help to both define and refine our world. This work is intended for those of “The Forest” or anyone who is not from or familiar with The Empire of Perfect Unity.

The first distinction worth noting, is that this is not sorcery. This is not the “magic” as it is known in other worlds.

Jiyun is a weaponsmith from the Empire of Perfect Unity.

He is apprenticed to Crimson Anvil. He must be very lucky, because he often wanders out in the forest with nothing but an apple for protection! He’s also a very good library-man.
