This is a brief synopsis of the original text. It should be noted that a Justicar is normally required for all these services. The lone possible exception of course is a funeral pyre (for obvious reasons). I write this not because I have made a study of the dead, but because I have had extensive experience in fighting them.

Hungry Dead

Hungry Dead are the souls of the departed.  Unfortunately, because hell is full and paradise is sealed, the souls of the dead are unable to go where they should and thus must wander the forest.  After about a day or so, however, the soul undergoes a transformation and becomes a ravening spirit of hunger, agression, and often times vengeance.

Sin Eater

The Sin Eaters are evil beings that consume the souls of both the living and the dead.

  • The Sin Eaters are entities of great power that are somehow connected to the Hungry Dead. These, too, are accursed creatures who have become twisted and corrupted from what they once were. We are not entirely sure how the Sin Eaters came to be, though there are some ideas of how it may come about. We do know that there are more than simply one, each is apparently different in ability, though most likely all have great strength.
