Dark Aesthete Astrolabe

The Dark Aesthete Astrolabe is named so, unremarkably, because it is an astrolabe created by the Dark Aesthetes. It functions in every way as a standard astrolabe, in addition to its more terrifying purpose.
This astrolabe was created by the Dark Aesthetes via Technomantic methods to challenge the feeling of immortality ingrained in cultural subconscious of Oun. Within it there resides an artificial mind, which lays dormant. It will remain so until one million years pass after its creation. Then it will activate, and seek out the world or splinter world most adverse to all life in the Forest of Doors based on the condition of the Forest at that time. It will open a door to that world and hold it open until all life in the Forest has been extinguished.
This item was created as a political statement, and not as an actual weapon. It does not threaten anyone now living, and in fact will not for another 990,000 years.
The Dark Aesthete Astrolabe is indestructible.
