The dying spirit of a tree

Taryn tracked down a dying spirit.  Those particularly attuned to the magics of the forest reported that they felt pain while walking towards the location.  The spirit was slumped over the roots of a tree, it appeared to be connected to it, most likely the spirit of the tree.  However, the tree was perfectly healthy, while the spirit was dying of unknown causes.  Ike attempted to keep the spirit alive by transferring some magic to it, and this prolonged it’s existence.  Eventually, the spirit faded into nothing, but a shred of evidence was left behind.  It was a piece of cloth that fine and akin to those from the Desert of Brass.
