The Empowered Light Spells
When a caster reaches a certain level of skill in the Dooms of Light and Shadow they have the option to develop more powerful versions of the spells they already know. Presented below is a list of the empowered versions of the light spells of The Dooms of Light and Shadow. I [Marcus] would like to thank Sol for providing this information and giving me permission to publish it. Reading my previous treatise on The Dooms of Light and Shadow or having an occult understanding of the magic itself is neccessary to understand what is being discussed here and the differences these spells have from their normal versions.
The Light Remembered
While the caster has this spell is readied for use and at least one use of it remaining, it may be ended entirely in order to create a lance of light that does an amount of damage equal to the caster’s mastery. Alternately, it may be similarly ended in order to stabilize anyone with a critical wound.
The Light Convergent
The attack version of the spell now does damage as though the caster’s mastery was two tiers higher. As long as an caster bears a Banelight from any source, they heal faster by one degree and when they channel the light into their attacks they do an extra tier of damage. So a rank one axe wielder who knew the empowered version of The Light Convergent would damage the accursed as though he were a rank five axe wielder. As usual these strikes have no effect upon the living.
Day Mirrors Night
If the caster concentrates for one minute before casting the spell, it is cast without using a charge. Also the caster may now end the spell to reflect the magic back upon it’s original caster without taking the effect upon himself. This is usually something only people extremely attuned to the flows of magic can do.
Circle of Radiant Morning
This spell 30 paces larger than it normally would be. In addition, anyone within its circumference may activate a Dooms of Light and Shadow ritual for every five minutes they engage in uninterrupted meditation. Such activation grants them magical energy just as if they had completed the ritual through the normal methods.
Flowing Prism Shield
This spell provides am amount of magical protection against three normal sword hits instead of two, and the caster need only rest for five minutes in order to restore it the protection instead of ten.
Hand of the Dawnbringer
The treatment version of the spell is now cast as though their mastery was two tiers higher. Creating a solid shard of light with this spell no longer expends any magical energy.
