Essence, it's Function and You

It has been through deep study that essence in most are nearly universal. To some the term essence is simply another terminology of the word soul. To many the term soul means the unbridled meaning of what makes a person. "I think therefore I am" comes to mind. The spiritual part of a person as sometimes distinct from the physical.

In my researching I have found that essence manipulation has been indeed a common factor in this world and in many other worlds as well even though most don’t usually notice it. For example within the world of the Apsara it has been stated that when a person dies they return to the whirlpool which they all came from to become spirits to either be reborn or even help the living. In the Dark mountains it has been noted that the use of the Death Arts can be assessed to manipulating the soul binding it into servitude for their dark master use.  In the Glade  where the Fairies are from it has been noted that the fairies do not have souls to contend with but I must note that this is a misnomer as fairies souls and their physical form are infact one and the same. To which when you change a fairy through different means you are literally changing their soul or essence.

Now on further knowledge of essence or souls it has been stated by the Thousand year old door that the term Wanderlings comes from the fact "that the soul’s of people seem to wander with the body where as the soul’s or essence of a spirit isn’t tied down to it’s physical or conceptual manifestation." Under further research it has come to become a hypothesis that the people of Oun used this knowledge both for people and possibly spirits for many different end results. Many fairly well known uses which have been documented from scrap pieced together of that time are of Natal Essence manipulation which manipulated a new essence possibly a child or baby to determine it’s use and function in life. Another is Essence Berth’s which means a place to store essences safely though only a few different researchers have lead to possible thoughts that hell itself is in truth a Essence Berth or something similar to it. As currently it currently holds the souls/essences within it until a possible time to release them to be recreated either here in the forest or possibly reprocessed to a newly made world as it has been said by different scholars to be the case. One such being Gormavati another Darrin both of which has studied the means of hell and Oun.

To this day essence manipulation is still in full effect though to many people it isn’t termed as such. The use of both the Death Bong, Booning, Death Rites and using the Resurrection Table is in fact a form of essence manipulation.  As they all deal with the core essence or soul itself in some form or fashion. At this point further investigation of different means for essence manipulation has also turned up between the merging of essences to form a new being (case in point Wolf and Alphanom) to the possible removal of Death Aspect.  At this point I leave this knowledge to my apprentices and fellow scholars to discern and find out.  Happy researching.
