Experimental Surgery A1: Stage I Goblinization
In accordance with Medical Practice Ordinance 37XVI of the Goblin City Medical Authority, as the secondary physician present during experimental surgery, I (Lizbeth) here present the surgical report of the experimental surgery performed on the final day of the market gather.
Patient: David
Species: C2Z, Human - Dark Mountains subspecies.
Primary Surgical Officer: Dusk Whisper, UAMP (Unaffliated Medical Practitioner)
Secondary Surgical Officer: Lizbeth Ratchetslinger, M.E.
Procedure: Stage I Goblinization, experimental
Abstract: Modification of dermal and subdermal structure - including cartilage - of the subject’s auditory superficials in order to mimic the appearance of baseline Goblinoid auditory superficials.
Surgical Operation: Sliding audioplasty of upper ear cartilage followed by clamping of arterial inflammations and suturing of surrounding tissues. Further inscisions made to base of ear in order to insert and cultivate removed material to shore up auditory superficials and allow tissue to remain intact for reversal of procedure at later date.
Complications: Upon being brought out of general anesthesia, subject proved unable to copulate auditory input. Side effect proved to be temporary. Following the exercise of upper mandible myo tissue, the auditory superficials’ stability became questionable. Solution: application of 250psi rated steam pipe repair tape behind auditory superficials to maintain stability until such time that the tissue and sutures have adequately healed to bear the weight of the auditory superficials.
Prognosis: Experimental S tage I Goblinization provincially deemed successful. Primary Surgical Officer concurred with assessment at time of operational completion.
