Furbolgs
Furbolgs, or “Pumpkin Heads” as we often times call them, are creatures native to the forest which are connected to the changing of the seasons … particularly the changing of summer into fall and winter. They are easily identified as they are creatures that appear to have carved pumpkins for heads.
Furbolgs help the changing of the season by spilling blood upon the ground … namely our blood and the blood of other denizens of the forest. Apparently this is a neccessary proccess for the changing of the seasons, though we attempt to minimize the amount of blood our residents spill to fulfill this requirement. Their main weapon is the ability to hurl balls of fire, which can down even a well armored warrior if they are hit by it. These creatures also have the ability to regenerate themselves … instantly healing themselves back to full functioning ability even after sustaining enough damage to otherwise destroy them. Unfortunately, even if the required amount of blood has been spilled upon the earth for the changing of the season, the Furbolgs still become “greedy” and will continue to attempt to spill more blood. Fortunately a defense against this is to display a whole, unharmed pumpkin. Furbolgs will not enter a building, nor attack anyone within it, as long as a pumpkin is prominently displayed. Also, Bumblebee Knight found, through experimentation, that carrying a pumpkin also keeps them from attacking you and even keeps them at bay slightly. It is still unsure, though, if the “pumpkin defense” will work before the required amount of blood has been spilled or not.
