Journal of the Artist
From what I (Lizbeth) gathered from the denziens of Nexus, the Journal of the Artist is an esoteric text on what has been described as the dark arts. The journal itself is in unknown condition, as only individual pages have surfaced for examination. However, reports indicate that aside from its content, the pages themselves have some sort of arcane power infused within them and may corrupt one simply through physical contact - though this corruption may apparently only occur once per set of pages located. I (Lizbeth) was allowed to briefly see - though not read - those of these pages in the possession of the people of Nexus. They were in a sad state of repair - at least one having been partially burned. The text was written in Gatespeak and was type-set. Given that the supposed origin of this text is Oonish in nature, this would indicate that the nation of Oon was industrialized to some extent - though it is highly unlikely that this journal was ever copied in mass via a printing press.
The Journal was apparently the work of an Oonish personage known as the Artist. It is unknown whether this was a title applied to a mortal who simply was remembered by title only or if this Artist was actually one of the nameless whom has been since relegated to a less than visible role. It has been proposed that the Artist and the Torturer of Exquisite Viscera are one and the same - indicating many and varied possible connections.
The current holder of the pages of the journal - whom shall for safety reasons go unnamed in this document - has promised to time permitting provide to this library copies of the pages.
