The Nameless

There are people that live with in the forest that do not have names. They are their Titles. They seem to represent certain functions or aspects of the forest. All of them, as fair as I [Sol] know, do not remember who they were or where they are originally from. They are not Spirits.

The following is a list of Nameless that I [Sol] have encountered or heard about.

The Champion - a brash man who live up the Forgotten Mountain. His task are many and varied, but as far as I [Sol] have seen he host a Tournament every summer to test wanderlings and determine who will be the next Herald of one of the six Great Virtues.

The Merchant Prince - a man who sole eyes is on Lumens. He will trade and deal with any who wander the forest.

The Questing Knight - A man looking for the perfect thing. The puzzle cubes that have been appearing at numerous gathers are apparently related to him, according to the spirit Shifting Puzzles. Also according to Shifting Puzzles the Knight must complete his quest in a specific order and only when he is ‘ready’ for each step.

The Gatekeeper - I [Sol] have met him, but he exist in a realm between life and Death. He controls who goes into the Hell. Supposedly if you die and meet him you can ask him one question that he will answer.

The Wandering Sage - an enigmatic man who travels the forest handing out various knowledge and portents.

The Huntress - The Huntress is a woman who wanders the forest and the world in whole in search of new and interesting prey.  She has traveled the entirety of the world within and without of the forest.  From what she has said, she comes from a world, outside of the Forest, which is no longer in existence.  There are also no other of her world within the Forest.  By her own admission, she is older than Oun and things she has said lead me [Damien] to believe that she may be from a time before the society known as the Fleshcrafters.  Note: In the summer of Nexus’s 5th year, the Fairy once known as Thorn has become the Huntress, allowing the old Huntress to step down from her position and become mortal once again.

The Beggar King - Very little is known about this individual.

It is likely there are more Nameless in the Forest of Doors.
