On the Necessity of the Adoption of a List of Amendments Restricting the Powers of the Cabinet
The current incarnation of the Constitution does not go far enough in ensuring that Cabinet does not infringe on the rights of its Member-Citizens. I propose the following Amendments be adopted to ensure a free and equal society.
Amendment I
The Cabinet shall issue no mandate respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the Member-Citizenship to peaceably assemble, and to petition the Cabinet for a redress of grievances.
Amendment II
The Cabinet shall issue no mandate infringing the right of the Member-Citizenship to keep and bear arms.
Amendment III
The Cabinet shall issue no mandate inflicting cruel and unusual punishments.
Amendment IV
The Cabinet shall issue no mandate denying or abridging the equality of rights under the law of any Member-Citizen on the basis of race, color, creed, sex, sexual preference or orientation, religion, species, or home world. Article I Section A shall hereby be altered to include sexual preference or orientation to the list of characteristics not permitted to prevent eligibility for member-citizenship or eligibility to hold Cabinet office.
Amendment V
The Constitution shall be amended to provide for a process by which mandates of the Cabinet can be found Unconstitutional and overturned. This process shall consist of the passing of a 3/4ths majority vote of the Member-Citizenship.
