No Crown for the Goblin Roolin

NO CROWN FOR Roolin

Roolin Longnose was his name
A goblin of renown was he
This rude and mean non-folk of fame
‘Twas never known for courtesy

While breaking wind in crowded rooms
His nose ran constantly
And all good folk found Roolin lacked
A single trace of modesty

But Roolin loved his tinkering
As many goblin post were reporting
Though Roolin wanted to be king
The
goblins
wouldn’t hear of it
In fact they showed a fear of it
And sensible were they!

For Roolin was a nasty sort
The goblins all could smell him
This vile old gent would not relent
For none of them would tell him

If he’d only take a bath
they might ease their wrath
He filled the tub, they gathered round
They had to see the aftermath

So bad he smelt the soap did melt
The filth would not come off him
He turned the water black as grease
And so the goblins laugher at him

CHORUS

Roolin would get his revenge

The Clock-Tower was the way

He’d turn their lives upside-down

Those that laughed would pay

He knew to rule their lives

He had to control time

He’d speed it up or slow it down

Whatever crossed his mind

Roolin climbed into the gears

But the nose got in the way

When they finally dragged him out

His crime was on his face

CHORUS
