Our first encounter with a Sin Eater

It started with a hungry ghost running away from him crying, The only safe way to deal with a Sin Eater is to run from him as he has struck two of our strong warriors dead with a single blow each. A Sin Eater is not invincible, however. If you are brave and have the right blade (a JiYun blade perhaps…) you might have a chance to defeat one. Definitely do not try to attack a Sin Eater alone.

We know that it is accursed, as a spell from the Dark Mountains which can harm only accursed creatures inflicted considerable damage to it. We also believe that it may be linked to the Nightmare Host, though no proof of this has been shown to me. From evidence provided by Saphryn, and gained at an incredibly high price, we believe its creation to be linked with the waking of the spirit of Destruction and the calamity that led to the end of the city of Oun. The creature is extremely dangerous and incredibly strong, having the ability to shrug off blows even comparable to a lightening strike granted by the magics of the Rock of Storms without taking any injury at all. This being is also able to slay a man with but one blow, and can shatter a shield with ease. Finally, it seems to never be without its “hounds,” which appear to be hungry dead which it controls, can summon to itself, and even devour to regain power and vitality. We have also been lead to believe that there are a number of these creatures within the forest, and each has its own abilities. What may be true for one may not be for another. So far, however, these creatures seem to be the most powerful and dangerous we as a town have faced, as we have yet to even slay one of these vile creatures and, each time, have been only able to survive long enough to drive it away or until it lost interest. This is not an enemy to take lightly … and this goes to those warriors of the Rock of Storms as well.
