On the Prudence of Incorporating the Old Laws into the Mandates of the Council of Nexus
This Forest is truly a wondrous place. One of its many wonders is the phenomenon we call the Old Laws. Through a process governed by the Spirits of the Forest, a basic code and system of ethics is placed on all who dwell here. There has been much debate about the justice or validity of the Old Laws, and the Spirits who govern them. This debate is not likely to be resolved.
However, I believe we should pay heed and respect to the Old Laws, as I find them to be based on sound ethical principles. Their implementation may be imperfect, but the words themselves ring true.
I believe the Cabinet should enact legislation that recognizes the Old Laws in some way. The best way, in my opinion, is to mandate that any Member-Citizen who becomes Lawbroken or Anathema Marked shall be immediately brought up for review and investigation for potential violation of the Articles.
