Reflection of Ages Past

Reflection of Ages Past was once known simply as “Reflection” and was named by a small group of wanderlings who eventually founded the Nexus community. This group, consisting of Mattie Irons, Bumblebee Knight and others (please feel free to add further names as I, Mattie, cannot currently remember who else was part of the group), was brought together by the seer Salid and asked to decide upon a name for a spirit residing in a jar of sand. The group was told that whatever they named the spirit would dictate the spirit’s personality and purpose, so they discussed the matter thoroughly and eventually settled on the name “Reflection”.

The spirit then manifested, took the name “Reflection” as its own and began to exhibit certain traits related to its new name. After returning to the jar of sand, where it seemed to be most comfortable, Mattie Irons was left in charge of the jar. For some reason “Reflection” seemed to develop an attachment to Mattie and even managed to materialize, jar included, when she was kidnapped and held prisoner by Scarlet Brigands for a period of several months. Wherever Mattie went, the jar and “Reflection” would inevitably follow and, after consulting with several experts in the fields of spiritual study, it was concluded that the spirit had chosen Mattie as it’s protector.

This was especially evident when, a few months after Mattie was returned to the community, “Reflection” appeared to Mattie asking for her help in “obtaining its purpose”. “Reflection” stated that it had found a place and a purpose meant for it, but that he needed Mattie’s help because something was trying to prevent it from obtaining its purpose. Mattie gathered a group of several trusted individuals, and together they managed to safely bear “Reflection” into the ruins of a building after defeating a dark presence that was trying to assert itself there (if anyone got a better look at the creature in the ruins, please feel free to add a more elaborate description). Once “Reflection” was brought to this place, the jar then disappeared and “Reflection” became Reflection of Ages Past, a spirit whose purpose was to keep the history of the previous age or ages.
