I am Explorer; Bai Guey-Hu called the Ghost Tiger.
I am a 3rd rank scholar and a 5th rank Swordsman. I study warfare, tactics, death, and skill of arms.
But there is more to me than the here and now. My past, my deeds and desires; my future, my goals, my failures; all these things will be what is remembered if anything is to be remembered. If you are not to be forgotten, tell what makes you you. If all you have written is all you have, than I fear dust shall cover the pages of your life.
But I feel there is more to you than you have laid out so far. You are "of" your people, yet you are different. Explore the things that make you the same, that set you apart, that entitle you to bear the name you have. Discuss your strengths and weaknesses; than time will not be able to wage such an easy war against you.
May your ancestors live on in pride of your deeds and may your descendants be guided by your wisdom.

I plan to continue to update this story as I continue to live in the Forest…as of yet, I have not achieved any great deed in this place. I have written of my weapons, which are unique, and my wife…our blessing by the Lovers, my witch’s lock, and other things that have made me and distinguish me. More is to come when things of worth achieved in the Forest are done, the Stormfather willing.
Ulric, may your ancestors present to you a clear path.
Tell more of these things.
* What makes your weapons unique? Are they made in the 1000 Acceptable Ways? Do they bear a curse or blessing?
* When did you meet your wife? What does she do? What does she look like to you?
* Why were you blessed by the Lovers? How much does this mean to you?
* Is this Witch’s Lock on a door or a chest? Do you wear it? Why is it special? Is it cursed or blessed? Do you adventure to find it?
* Why must you redeem your family? How do you intend to do so?
* Did you intend to come to the Forest? What were your first thoughts upon arrival?
These are all things that will tell more of you and your people. A good story must be well understood and we must understand and care about the characters from the beginning. If I am being overbearing I apologize, while I may study the scholarly arts, I am by profession a solider so I am more often direct. I know little about your world, you must lead me into it and through it so I may understand where and why you stand in this one.
Sincerely,
Explorer Bai Guey-Hu

No, you are not imposing in any way. Any help in improving my ability to tell my story and that of any others is a blessing. I thank you for assisting me in this, and I plan to answer your questions soon enough.
